Under the watchful eye of experienced Flat Track racers you will lap the track. They will give every participant tips & tricks on how to lap the track!
No gear? No problem, we rent gear out to our participants at our bar on the track. Entire set costs 40,- and specific pieces of gear cost 15,- euro (boots, helmet, knee, shirt and body protection) please note that at this time you need to bring your own pants, anything from workpants to jeans work.
THE SPORT
Flat track or dirt track racing originated in the early 1900's in the USA. In the early beginnings the tracks were made of wood boards and was subsequently named board track racing. Due to the high fatality rate board track racing was banned and flat tracks took their place. Flat Tracks are oval dirt circuits with a go left racing direction. Track lengths vary from 200 meters (1/8 mile) to 1600 meters (1 mile).
THE TRACK EST. 2004
The overall length of the oval is 300 meters and has a width of over 20 meters. The top layer of the track is made out of a fine red gravel type, giving the track its own characteristic softer cushion surface, unlike many other tracks in Europe that are typically clay based and have a much harder surface. Famous cushion tracks in the USA include Lima, Delmar and Pomona.

Just ride it, this is for people who have already completed a try-out that want to come back for more, we will start of with a freshen upper to get back into the right position and from then on its riding as many heats as the time allows.
you will only be riding the big track, doing friendly races with your friends and others! join now have fun.
we will also be riding both track layouts, the "normal" oval and the TT-track the tt track also has a turn to the right.
on the oval we will have one race for a price aswell! the famous Dirt track lelystad cap!
